Power efficiency to save Russia's Transneft 4.2 bln rbl by 2021
MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has developed a power saving and efficiency program that will help it save 170,500 tonnes of fuel equivalent, or 4.2 billion rubles, by 2021, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
In 2014, the company saved 53,300 tonnes of fuel equivalent or 977 million rubles thanks to its power saving program. The program helped Transneft decrease electric power consumption by 4.4%, consumption of boiler and furnace fuels by 16.8%, thermal power consumption by 24.7% and motor fuel consumption by 11.7%.
